Materials:

Bulky yarn (5)

5 skeins of Bernat Maker Outdoor Yarn in Deep Sea Teal and Citrus Green, Sunshine Yellow, Oranges, and Beach Red.

12 mm hook

Large eye tapestry needle for weaving in ends.

One size.

 

Crochet terms:

Ch- Chain

SC – Single crochet.

Ch 1 – Chain 1.

BS- Bobble Stitch (Yarn over and pull through so that you have three loops on your hook, next yarn over pull through the first TWO loops, yarn over insert hook in same stitch, yarn over pull through first two loops, yarn over insert hook in same stitch, yarn over and pull through first two hoops, yarn over insert hook in same stitch, yarn over and pull through first 2 loops, you should now have 5 loops total, yarn over and pull through all 5 loops.) (Make sure you do this for a total of 4 times and ending with 5 loops on your hook and yarn over and pull through all 5 loops.) Do not ch 1.

Start of rug:

Row 1. Ch 56, Sc in second ch from hook and in each chain across, ch 1, turn. (55)

Row 2. BS in same stitch as ch 1, sc in next, BS in next, sc in next, repeat across, ch 1, turn. (55)

Row 3. SC in each stitch across, ch 1, turn. (55)

Row 4. BS in same stitch as ch 1, sc in next, BS in next, sc in next, repeat across, ch 1, turn. (55)

Row 5-50- Repeat rows 3 and 4. (55) Make sure if changing colors change to alternate color every 10 rows. You’ll have 10 rows of each color if doing a rug like pictured in patten.

Fringe:

Cut 15, 12 inch strands in each color. Take 3 strands for each tassel following instructions below and add to the ends of the rug.
