Materials:

Bulky yarn (5)

2 Small skeins of Bernat Maker Home Decor Yarn.

8 mm hook

1 Button

Needle and thread.

One size.

 

Crochet terms:

SC – Single crochet.

SCDEC- Single Crochet Decrease.

BLO – Back loop.

Sl St – Slip stitch.

HDC- Half Double Crochet

HDC3RDLOOP- Half Double Crochet in 3rd Loop.

Ch 1 – Chain 1.

BS- Bobble Stitch (Yarn over and pull through so that you have three loops on your hook, next yarn over pull through the first TWO loops, yarn over insert hook in same stitch, yarn over pull through first two loops, yarn over insert hook in same stitch, yarn over and pull through first two hoops, yarn over insert hook in same stitch, yarn over and pull through first 2 loops, you should now have 5 loops total, yarn over and pull through all 5 loops.) (Make sure you do this for a total of 4 times and ending with 5 loops on your hook and yarn over and pull through all 5 loops.) Do not ch 1. (Picture below for Bobble Stitch Tutorial)

MC- Main color yarn.

CC- Contrasting Color.

WS- Wrong Side.

RS- Right Side.

 

Purse Body:

Starting with MC Yarn.

Row 1: Ch 18, SC in 2nd ch from hook and sc in the next 15 chains, 2 SC in last ch, do not turn, continue onto back loops of ch row, sc in the next 16 stitches, sl st to 1st sc. (34)

Row 2: Ch 1, Sc in same stitch and each stitch around, sl st to top of 1st Sc. (34)

Row 3: Ch 1, Sc in back loop of same stitch and SCBLO in each stitch around, sl st to 1st sc, Turn so that WS of yarn is facing you. (34) Change to CC.  

Row 4: Ch 1, Sc in same stitch, BS in next, Sc in next, BS in next, repeat around, sl st to top of 1st sc, turn back so RS of yarn is facing you. (34) Change to MC.

Row 5: Ch 1, Hdc in same stitch and each stitch around, sl st to 1st hdc. (34)

Row 6: Ch 1, HDC3RDLOOP in same stitch and HDC3rdLOOP in each stitch around, sl st to 1st hdc, turn so WS of yarn is facing you. (34) Change to CC.

Row 7: Repeat row 4. (34)

Row 8: Repeat row 5. (34)

Row 9: Repeat row 6. (34)

Row 10: Repeat row 4. (34)

Row 11: Repeat row 5. (34)

Row 12: Ch 1, Sc in the back loop of same stitch and SCBLO in each stitch around, sl st to 1st sc, (34) do not fasten off, turn ch 1, (This will be Row 1 of flap) SC in same stitch and the next 13 stitches, turn. (14)

Row 2: Ch 1, SC in same stitch and the next 13 stitches, turn. (14)

Row 3-4: Repeat row 2. (14)

Row 5: Ch 1, SCDEC, Sc in the next 10 stitches, SCDEC, turn. (12)

Row 6: Ch 1, Sc in same stitch and each stitch across, turn. (12)

Row 7: Ch 1, SCDEC, Sc in the next 8 stitches, SCDEC, turn. (10)

Row 8: Ch 1, Sc in same stitch and each stitch across, turn. (10)

Row 9: Ch 1, SCDEC, Sc in the next 6 stitches, SCDEC, turn. (8)

Row 10: Ch 1, SCDEC, Sc in the next 4 stitches, SCDEC, turn. (6)

Row 11: Ch 1, SCDEC, Sc in the next 2 stitches, SCDEC, turn. (4)

Row 12: Ch 1, SCDEC, SCDEC, FO. (2)

Reattach yarn to back bottom corner where flap first started and sc evenly until you reach the top point of flap, then ch 3 and sc back in same space as where (sc, ch 3) started, continue to sc evenly along done opposite side, sl st to bottom corner, FO and weave in ends.

Sew button onto front middle of Pouch with needle and thread.
