Worsted Weight Yarn 

5.5 I Hook

Scissors

Tapestry Needle

Optional: Feltie or Patch 

Crochet Terms:

MC- Magic Circle

Ch- Chain 

Ch 1- Chain one

Ch 2- Chain 2

SC- Single Crochet

FPSC- Front Post Single Crochet

TPS- Tri-Puff Stitch

HDC- Half Double Crochet

HDC3rdLoop- Half Double Crochet in 3rd loop

Sl St- Slip Stitch 

FO- Fasten off

Special Stitches:

Modified TPS (Tri-Puff Stitch) 

Yo, insert hook in indicated st, yo, pull loop through st and make loop same height as previous sts in working row, (yo, insert hook in next st, yo, pull loop through st and make loop same height as working row, yo, insert hook in next st, pull up a loop, you should have 7 loops on hook, yo, pull through all 7 loops on hook, CH 1 after making tri-puff stitch. Picture tutorial below.

Start of Cozy Pattern:

Round 1: MC, Ch 1, 10 SC in circle, sl st to 1st SC. (10)

Round 2: Ch 1, 2SC in each stitch around, sl st to 1st SC. (20)

Round 3: Ch 1, *2SC, 1SC,* repeat around, sl st to 1st SC. (30)

Round 4: Ch 1, SC in each stitch around, sl st to 1st SC. (30)

Round 5: Ch 1, FPSC around each stitch around, sl st to 1st SC. (30)

Round 6: Ch 1, HDC in the stitches behind and down below the FPSC stitches all the way around, sl st to 1st HDC. (30)

Round 7: Ch 1, TPS stitch in HDC3rdLoop of each stitch around, last TPS loop will be in loop behind joining stitch, sl st to 1st TPS. (30)

Round 8-14: Repeat row 6&7. (30) If making a regular can cozy stop at row 12 and proceed to rows 15-on. 

Round 15-16: Ch 1, HDC3RDLOOP in each stitch around, sl st to 1st HDC3rdLoop. (30)

Round 17: Ch 1, SC in same stitch and next stitch, ch2, sl st in second ch from hook, SC in next 2 stitches, *ch2, sl st in second ch from hook, SC in next 2 stitches,* repeat around, sl st to 1st SC, FO weave in ends, add feltie or patch to front if desired.

Materials:

6.00 J Hook 

Worsted Weight Yarn, cotton or acrylic 236-600 yards. 

Large eye tapestry needle

Scissors 

Tape Measure

Crochet Terms: 

Ch- Chain 

Ch 1- Chain one 

Ch 3- Chain three

Ch 4- Chain four

Ch1sp- Chain one space 

CS- Cluster Stitch

DC- Double Crochet 

Sk- Skip 

FO- Fasten Off

Special Stitches:

Cluster Stitch: CS- Cluster Stitch. (Yarn over insert hook in designated stitch, draw up a loop, yarn over, pull through 1st 2 loops, yarn over insert hook in same stitch, draw up a loop, yarn over, pull through 1st 2 loops, yarn over insert hook in same stitch, draw up a loop, yarn over, pull through 1st 2 loops, you will now have 4 loops on your hook, yarn over pull through all 4 loops. 

Notes: 

Shrug is made to be the same length and width wise according to your shoulder to shoulder measurements. 

Start of Shrug: 

Measure Shoulder to shoulder to determine the width of your shrug, make sure it’s multiples of 5, plus Ch 4. Below are instructions for sm/md adult size. 

Row 1: Ch 69, DC in 5th ch from hook, Counts as 1st DC + Ch 1, sk next ch, DC in next, Ch 1, Sk next Ch, DC in next, repeat across, you should end with a DC, turn. (65) Includes ch 1’s.

Row 2: Ch 3, DC in ch1sp, DC in next, Repeat across, turn. (65)

Row 3: Ch 4, Counts as DC + Ch 1, Sk next st, DC in next, Ch 1, Sk next st, DC in next, Ch 1, repeat across, turn. (65)

Row 4: Ch 3, CS in next ch1sp, ch 1, CS in next Ch1sp, ch 1, repeat across, do not ch 1 after last CS, DC in last st. (65)

Row 5: Repeat row 3. 

Row 6: Repeat row 2. 

Row 7: Repeat row 3. 

Row 8: Repeat row 4. 

Rows 9-31: Repeat rows 3,2,3,4. At the end of row 31 do not fasten off, proceed to the next instructions. 

Round 1: Ch 1 and fold shrug in half making rectangle and SC both corners together and continue to SC along the edge, SC 2nd corners together and finish SC along the edge, sl st to 1st SC. (130)

Round 2: Ch 2, DC in same stitch, 2DC in each stitch around, sl st to 1st DC. (260)

Round 3: Ch 2, DC in each stitch around, sl st to 1st DC, sl st to 1st DC. (260)

Round 4: Ch 1, Sl St in BL of each stitch around, sl st to 1st sl st, FO, weave in ends and proceed to Sleeve instructions. 

Sleeves: 

Round 1: Reattach yarn to bottom corner of armhole, Ch 1, SC in same sp, SC in each edge around, placing 2 SC’s in the ch 2 spaces, repeat around, sl st to 1st SC. 

Round 2-5: Ch 1, SC in each stitch around, sl st to 1st SC. 

Round 6: Ch 1, Sl St in BL of each stitch around, sl st to 1st sl st, FO, weave in ends, repeat for other sleeve.

 Rainbow Wall Hanging Pattern PDF

Anyways, here’s what I have for you today! The inspiration for this piece was happiness! Rainbows have always brought a smile to my face no matter what kind of day I’m having. Bright colors in studies have shown to brighten moods and make one feel better. I was listening to a lot of cheery club music to be honest while designing this fun pattern. It’s being hung up in my oldest daughters room currently because she is also obsessed with rainbows like her momma!

Start of Purse:

Row 1: Ch 21, SC in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across, ch 1, turn. (20)

Row 2: SC in BL in each stitch across, ch 1 turn. (20)

Rows 3-18: Repeat row 2. At the end of row 18, do not fasten off, fold in half and sl st both short side together, FO, weave in ends. (20)

Reattach yarn to bottom of opposite side and sl st short sides together, do not fasten off, Turn right side facing out,

Round 1:Ch 1, SC 20 evenly around, this will give it the shell shape by cinching slightly. (20)

Round 2: Ch 1, SC in each st, around, sl st to 1st SC. (20)

Round 3: Ch 1, 2SC in same stitch, 1 SC next 9, 2SC in next, 1 SC in remaining stitches, sl st to 1st SC, FO, weave in ends. Add purse strap or other decor for finishing touches. (22)

Materials: 

Super Bulky Yarn (6) 90-130 yards

1 skein super bulky, 1 skein fur yarn. 

Size 9 mm Hook

Large Eye Tapestry Needle

Scissors 

Tape Measure for checking gauge. 

Adult Size: 11-Adults 

Crochet Terms:

Ch- Chain

Ch 1- Chain 1, 

SC- Single Crochet

BLO- Back Loop

HDC- Half Double Crochet

HDC3rdLOOP- Half Double Crochet in 3rd loop behind previous HDC row. 

HDC3rdLOOPDEC- Half Double Crochet in 3rd loop decrease.

SCrdloop- Single Crochet in 3rd look of previous row hdc.

Sl St- Slip Stitch 

FO- Fasten Off

Special Stitches:

HDC3rdLOOP: To make the third loop half double crochet, you will yarn over, insert your hook into the third loop only of the previous hdc, yarn over again.  You should now have three loops on your hook. Yarn over and pull through all three loops, completing your third post only half double crochet.

Gauge:

With Main yarn. 

Row 1: Ch 10, HDC in 2nd ch from hook and remaining chs, ch 1, turn.

Row 2-6: HDC in each stitch across, ch 1, turn. 

Swatch should measure 4×4 inches 

Start with Brim:

Row 1: Ch (5), SC in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across, ch 1, turn. (4)

Row 2: SC in BLO of each stitch across, ch 1, turn. (4)

Row 3-(36): Repeat row 2. At the end of row (36), ch 1, place both ends together and sl st both ends together, do not fasten off. (6) 

Flip the brim so the sl st end is facing in. You will be working this hat with the right side facing out. 

Top Part of Hat:

Adult Size

Round 1: Ch 1, HDC 36 evenly around, sl st to 1st HDC. (36) Switch to Fur yarn. 

Round 2: Ch 1, HDC3rdLoop in each stitch around, sl st to 1st HDC. (36) Switch back to main yarn. 

Round 3: Ch 1, HDC in each stitch around, sl at to 1st HDC. (36)

Round 4: Ch 1, HDC3rdLoop in each stitch around, sl st to 1st HDC. (36) Switch back to fur yarn. 

Round 5: Ch 1, HDC3rdLoop in each stitch around, sl st to 1st HDC. (36) Switch back to main yarn. 

Round 6: Ch 1, HDC in each stitch around, sl at to 1st HDC. (36)

Round 7: Ch 1, HDC3rdLOOPDEC, HDC3RDLOOP in next 2, HDC3rdLOOPDEC, HDC3rdLoop in next 2, repeat around, sl at to 1st HDC. (27) Switch back to fur yarn. 

Round 8: Ch 1, HDC3RDLOOP in each stitch around, sl at to 1st HDC. (27) Switch Back to main yarn. 

Round 9: Ch 1, HDCDEC, HDC in next, HDCDEC, HDC in next, repeat around, sl st to 1st HDC. (18)

Round 10. Ch 1, SC3rdloop in each stitch around, sl st to 1st SC, FO, weave in ends or if wanting to close the top and make it a beanie, leave long tail and use tapestry needle to weave in and out of the last row stitches and pull tight, bind off. (18)
