Worsted weight yarn: 30 yards of main color in color of your choice. (I used Brava in Paprika)

5 yards in brown or green color for the stump. 

Size 6.00 Hook (J)

Tapestry Needle

Stuffing (If making mini pumpkin)

Crochet Terms:

Ch- Chain

Ch 1- Chain 1

Ch 3- Chain 3

SC- Single Crochet 

HDC- Half Double Crochet

HDC in 3rd Loop- Half Double Crochet in 3rd loop behind top 2 loops of previous HDC. 

FPHDC- Front Post Half Double Crochet

DC- Double Crochet 

Sl St- Slip Stitch

FO- Fasten off

Start of Pumpkin using Orange color:

Row 1: Ch 27, sl st to 1st ch. (27)

Row 2: Ch 1, HDC in same ch and each ch around, sl st to 1st HDC. (27)

Row 3: Ch 1, HDC3rdloop in same stitch and hdc3rdloop in next stitch, FPHDC around next stitch, *Hdc3rdloop in next 2 stitches, FPHDC around next stitch, Hdc3rdloop in next 2 stitches, FPHDC around next stitch,* repeat around, sl st to 1st HDC. (27)

TIP: Pulling FPHDC to the right to make the next HDC3rdLOOP will make the 3rd loop more accessible. 

Row 4-9: Repeat row 3. (27) At the end of row 9 change to green or brown color.

Row 10: Ch 1, HDC in next 9 stitches, ch 9, 2SC in 2nd ch from hook and each ch down, sl st in next empty stitch, (ch 3, 2 DC in same stitch, Ch 3, sl st back in the same stitch,) HDC in remaining stitches, sl st to 1st HDC, FO, weave in ends. *If making it into a pumpkin cinch bottom closed, fill with stuffing and cinch top closed, pics tied for help below.*

6.00 mm J Hook

Bulky size (5) yarn in Brown and Yellow 

Scissors 

Tapestry Needle

Crochet Terms: 

MC- Magic Circle

HDC- Half Double Crochet 

CS- Cluster Stitch

BL- Back Loop

SC- Single Crochet 

SCDEC- Single Crochet Decrease 

Sl St- Slip Stitch 

FO- Fasten Off 

Special Stitches:

Cluster Stitch. (Yarn over insert hook in designated stitch, draw up a loop, yarn over, pull through 1st 2 loops, yarn over insert hook in same stitch, draw up a loop, yarn over, pull through 1st 2 loops, yarn over insert hook in same stitch, draw up a loop, yarn over, pull through 1st 2 loops, you will now have 4 loops on your hook, yarn over pull through all 4 loops. DO NOT CH 1 AFTER.

Using Brown Yarn.

Round 4: Ch 1, CS, 1 HDC in next 2 stitches, CS, 1 HDC in next 2 stitches, repeat around, sl st to 1st CS. (30)

Round 5: Ch 1, 2HDC, 1HDC in next 2, 2HDC, 1HDC in next 2, repeat around, sl st to 1st HDC. (40)

Using Mustard or color of choice.

First Row of Petal instructions:

Directions for 1st petal of first row. 

Row 1: Reattach yarn to any BL of the last round of sunflower center, Ch 1, SC in the same st and in the BL of the next 7, ch 1, turn. (8)

Row 2-4: SC in each st across, ch 1, turn. (8)

Row 5: SCDEC, SC in next 4, SCDEC, ch 1, turn. (6)

Row 6: SC in each st across, ch 1, turn. (6)

Row 7: SCDEC, SC in next 2, SCDEC, ch 1, turn. (4)

Row 8: SC in each st across, ch 1, turn. (4)

Flip sunflower so wrong side of petals are facing you,  now find the 3rd loop of HDC of the last round of sunflower center, make sure it is in the 3rd stitch to the left of the center of front petal so it is centered and in between front petals like a real flower. Repeat for next 5 petals.

Start of Cozy Pattern:

Round 1: MC, Ch 1, 10 SC in circle, sl st to 1st SC. (10)

Round 2: Ch 1, 2SC in each stitch around, sl st to 1st SC. (20)

Round 3: Ch 1, *2SC, 1SC,* repeat around, sl st to 1st SC. (30)

Round 4: Ch 1, SC in each stitch around, sl st to 1st SC. (30)

Round 5: Ch 1, FPSC around each stitch around, sl st to 1st SC. (30)

Round 6: Ch 1, HDC in the stitches behind and down below the FPSC stitches all the way around, sl st to 1st HDC. (30)

Round 7: Ch 1, TPS stitch in HDC3rdLoop of each stitch around, last TPS loop will be in loop behind joining stitch, sl st to 1st TPS. (30)

Round 8-14: Repeat row 6&7. (30) If making a regular can cozy stop at row 12 and proceed to rows 15-on. 

Round 15-16: Ch 1, HDC3RDLOOP in each stitch around, sl st to 1st HDC3rdLoop. (30)

6.00 J Hook 

Worsted Weight Yarn, cotton or acrylic 236-600 yards. 

Large eye tapestry needle

Scissors 

Tape Measure

Crochet Terms: 

Ch- Chain 

Ch 1- Chain one 

Ch 3- Chain three

Ch 4- Chain four

Ch1sp- Chain one space 

CS- Cluster Stitch

DC- Double Crochet 

Sk- Skip 

FO- Fasten Off

Special Stitches:

Cluster Stitch: CS- Cluster Stitch. (Yarn over insert hook in designated stitch, draw up a loop, yarn over, pull through 1st 2 loops, yarn over insert hook in same stitch, draw up a loop, yarn over, pull through 1st 2 loops, yarn over insert hook in same stitch, draw up a loop, yarn over, pull through 1st 2 loops, you will now have 4 loops on your hook, yarn over pull through all 4 loops. 

Notes: 

Shrug is made to be the same length and width wise according to your shoulder to shoulder measurements. 

Start of Shrug: 

Measure Shoulder to shoulder to determine the width of your shrug, make sure it’s multiples of 5, plus Ch 4. Below are instructions for sm/md adult size. 

Row 1: Ch 69, DC in 5th ch from hook, Counts as 1st DC + Ch 1, sk next ch, DC in next, Ch 1, Sk next Ch, DC in next, repeat across, you should end with a DC, turn. (65) Includes ch 1’s.

Row 2: Ch 3, DC in ch1sp, DC in next, Repeat across, turn. (65)

Row 3: Ch 4, Counts as DC + Ch 1, Sk next st, DC in next, Ch 1, Sk next st, DC in next, Ch 1, repeat across, turn. (65)

Row 4: Ch 3, CS in next ch1sp, ch 1, CS in next Ch1sp, ch 1, repeat across, do not ch 1 after last CS, DC in last st. (65)

Row 5: Repeat row 3. 

Row 6: Repeat row 2. 

Row 7: Repeat row 3. 

Row 8: Repeat row 4. 

Rows 9-31: Repeat rows 3,2,3,4. At the end of row 31 do not fasten off, proceed to the next instructions. 

Round 1: Ch 1 and fold shrug in half making rectangle and SC both corners together and continue to SC along the edge, SC 2nd corners together and finish SC along the edge, sl st to 1st SC. (130)

Round 2: Ch 2, DC in same stitch, 2DC in each stitch around, sl st to 1st DC. (260)

Round 3: Ch 2, DC in each stitch around, sl st to 1st DC, sl st to 1st DC. (260)

Round 4: Ch 1, Sl St in BL of each stitch around, sl st to 1st sl st, FO, weave in ends and proceed to Sleeve instructions. 

Sleeves: 

Round 1: Reattach yarn to bottom corner of armhole, Ch 1, SC in same sp, SC in each edge around, placing 2 SC’s in the ch 2 spaces, repeat around, sl st to 1st SC. 

Round 2-5: Ch 1, SC in each stitch around, sl st to 1st SC. 

Round 6: Ch 1, Sl St in BL of each stitch around, sl st to 1st sl st, FO, weave in ends, repeat for other sleeve.

 Rainbow Wall Hanging Pattern PDF

Anyways, here’s what I have for you today! The inspiration for this piece was happiness! Rainbows have always brought a smile to my face no matter what kind of day I’m having. Bright colors in studies have shown to brighten moods and make one feel better. I was listening to a lot of cheery club music to be honest while designing this fun pattern. It’s being hung up in my oldest daughters room currently because she is also obsessed with rainbows like her momma!
